Badger R1V Renegade Velocity

Good brush for being able to spray wide and fine lines but mine leaks air between the shell and hold down ring and spray regulator w/protective arms. A simple Teflon washer would solve the majority of air leakage. I've tried beeswax but it still leaks air. The protective arms on the ultra fine spray regulator are nice for up close work but it doesn't allow you to be able to back flow/flush while cleaning. It allows a very small amount of paint to be trapped. I have a sink next to where I paint, so I'm able to flush/clean the brush with plenty of running water but a small amount of paint is retained. I believe if you were able to back flush the brush it'd cure that issue. Other than those two faults, it's a good economical brush for painting lures.

The first brand new Badger Renegade which I had received had a too stiff tube shank…couldn’t unscrew it (Badger’s fault). I contacted Spraygunner Customer Service and they immediately sent me a shipping label for the return. Upon receipt of my return, Spraygunner sent me a new replacement with a workable tube shank…this airbrush is a great value since it produces very fine lines, soft mottling and more than adequate coverage using my water base acrylics on my fine scale model subjects. A++++ for Spraygunner Customer Service!

This is a reliable airbrush, spend less than $100 but you will get the same effect comparing with the import Japanese airbrush, love the made in USA, I already got a Krome but just got this R1V for collection. Also like the unique dark iron surface to other shining plate, a different style but also easy to clean.Always fast shipping and best customer service of Spraygunner, highly recommended!

This is a great air brush. I have a Neo and this for about $20 more is worth every penny. I use it to do 1/72 planes and it is great
